This Privacy Policy applies to the privacy practices of: (a) our website located at www.hellostumply.com (the “Stumply Website”); (b) any mobile device software provided by us to you through the Apple App Store or Google Play, including, but not limited to, our mobile application titled Stumply (the “Stumply App”); and (c) together as the “Stumply Service”.

Using the Stumply Website or the Stumply App indicates that you have read and agreed to the following Privacy Statement. “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We” and “Us”, refers to our Company – Xiroji Systems Inc. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Xiroji Systems Inc. is firmly committed to protecting your privacy. All data we collect, either directly from individual customers or from customer utility data, are used in order to help provide the best service we are able to provide and in order to fulfill our goal of helping customers become better informed energy consumers.

Only authorized employees on a need-to-know basis have access to any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. We are, however, not liable for any damage caused by theft of data due to actions outside the control of Xiroji Systems Inc., its employees and its affiliates.

What is Considered Personal Information

Personal information includes recorded information about an identifiable individual, such as a name, address, phone number, and email address.

What Information We collect From You

We provide a energy monitoring platform that allows you to gain access to your home or business’ energy consumption from various sources but not limited to your energy provider. We’ve built Stumply to help you access your information more conveniently, help you better understand your energy consumption, and to help you make more informed choices when it comes to energy efficiency. By using the Stumply Service we may collect the following types of information:

Account Information:

To access and use certain features of the Stumply Service (e.g. the Stumply App), you may need to register for a Stumply Account (the “Account”) through the available Stumply Service interfaces, namely, the Stumply Apps. During the registration process, you may be asked to provide us with your full name, address, and email address. You may also be asked to choose a username, password and security questions.

In registering for an Account (or after registration), you can choose to authenticate with the Stumply Service using social media logins such as but not limited to Facebook. If you do so, you authorize us to access certain social media account information (consistent with your social media privacy settings), including but not limited to your profile information, full name, username, and email address. All such information is provided directly by the social media platform, whose use of your personal information will be subject to its own privacy policy and terms of use.

After registration, you may also choose to provide utility account login information. If you do so, you authorize us to access your account information, including but not limited to your profile information, full name, username, and utility usage data. If possible we recommend creating a separate login with non-administrative and read-only access to your utility account.

Keep your user login and password confidential. Be wary of emails that ask for personal information. Never provide your password, personal numbers, or login information via email. We will not ask for personal information via email except in response to an email you have sent us. If you receive an unsolicited email asking for personal information please contact us.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Visit Our Website or Use Our Applications:

When you install the Stumply App or use a computer, tablet, smartphone or other device to access the Stumply Website, we may use automatic means to collect information about the device and how you use it. This information may include the type of device, your operating system, your browser (for example, whether you used Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome or another browser), your internet service provider, your domain name, your internet protocol (IP) address, your device identifier (or UDID), the date and time that you accessed our service, the website that referred you to the Stumply Website, the web pages you requested, the date and time of those requests and your physical location.

Usage of Information

We use the information that we collect to:

  1. provide the Stumply Service to you;
  2. fix, maintain, enhance and modify the Stumply Service;
  3. communicate with you (e.g. in response to your inquiries or comments);
  4. comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
  5. promote our products and services;
  6. for other purposes in accordance with your consent.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

The Stumply Website uses persistent cookies. These are files that your web browser stores on your computer. The persistent cookie remains on your computer after your session is completed. It does not store any personally identifiable information. It stores a unique identifier so we may track our website visitors at an aggregate level. You may delete the cookie by clearing it from your browser.

We also use in-app tracking technologies to understand how the Stumply Service is used. You can stop all collection of data generated by the use of the Stumply App by uninstalling the Stumply App.

Do Not Track

Most web browsers include a “do not track” setting. However, there is a lack of certainty or consistency with respect to what impact that setting should have on the information collected or on a user’s browsing experience. Accordingly and consistently with respect to the operation of many websites, if you enable that setting, it will not change what information is exchanged with your computer, or how that information is used, when you visit the Stumply Website.

International Transfers

We try our best to keep your data in your country of residence. However, to provide the Stumply Service we may need to store or process your personal information in jurisdictions that may not have data protection or other laws that are as protective as in your country of residence. In the event that personal information is transferred to Canada, the United States, or other foreign jurisdiction, it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be disclosed to or accessed by the courts, law enforcement and governmental authorities in accordance with those laws. By using the Stumply Service, you consent to the transfer, processing and storage of your personal information in countries outside of your country of residence, including Canada, the United States, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Security

If you choose to provide the Stumply Service with your utility account login information we store your login information in an encrypted format on our servers. Your device that is running the Stumply App must provide the decryption key to the Stumply Service for us to request your utility account information and utility usage data. We are not able to request your utility account information or utility usage data without your device initiating the request.

We have implemented reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures in an effort to safeguard the personal information and utility account login information in our custody and control against theft, loss and unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure.

If you choose to remove the Stumply App from your devices that have authorized Stumply to access your utility account information and utility data we will no longer be able to request data on your behalf.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
